Easy Dispense Pet Waste Stations with roll shelves that slant to the front
We found another problem in the dog waste bag market that needed to be solved.
We noticed that in the traditional pet waste station that holds roll bags, as the roll got smaller there was a tendency that the roll would move to the back of the dispenser shelf.
This is fine if you have long, slender fingers.
Not so good if you don’t.
We have short, fat fingers.
Proved to be an annoying problem
We first thought about just slanting the shelves forward.
In all of our prototypes it was very difficult to keep the rolls from falling out when refilling the stations.
Actually they all fell out.
And then we realized that we were thinking about the solution in the wrong way.
Rather than mounting the shelves inside the pet waste station, why not mount the shelves on the front door of the pet waste station?
This way when the station is opened for filling, the rolls are cradled against the front door of the station.
When the door is closed, the rolls of dog waste bags slide to the front.
As the bags are used the roll moves toward the front.
The design received the short, fat finger seal of approval.
